How did you make it as an actress?
I
was born in Rajasthan. I was brought up in Mumbai. Ever since I can
remember I have been consumed by this desire an dream to become an
actress. I have wanted to be nothing else. So there was nothing
accidental in my becoming an actress.
How did you exactly arrive here?
As
I said, since I wanted to make it as an actress. I had always prepared
myself for it. I did some modeling. Then I also did a couple of remix
albums. One thing led to another, and here I am as an actress.
How does it feel to have realized your dreams?
obviously
happy. But I know I have just started. I have just scratched the
surface. There are miles to go before I can feel truly contented.
How difficult is the career of an actress?
Not
many realize that an actor or an actress’s job is strenuous. Sometimes
it can be back-breaking. I have worked non-stop for well around 20
hours. There have been times when we had to shoot all through the
night. But for the outside world only the glamour part of a film star’s
life is visible. Make no mistake, this is one of the toughest jobs.
Tell us about your roles here in Telugu?
I
have been here for just around a year. It has been exhilarating so far.
I have loved every minute of it. I have enjoyed working in films like
Pandu and Gowtham SSC. I should say I have learnt a lot working here.
Things are very professional here.
What are the roles you are doing?
Pournami
is a big film obviously. There is glamour and style in the role. My
idea of glamour you must be able to pull it off with pizzazz. You must
be comfortable with what you are doing. In Pournami, I have a typical
role. In Ravi Babu’s Party, it is fun all the way. There is plenty of
humor in it. I loved the challenge of the role.
Do you miss Mumbai?
Of course, I do. I do become home sick from time to time. But people here too are nice and hard working.
